Mission: The LDYW Club is dedicated to developing the love of wrestling and young men and women of character. 

Core Values: Love to wrestle. Character. Sportsmanship. 

LDYW Board members and coaches emphasize our primary goals of 1) promoting LD Youth Wrestling and 2) building a strong foundation for our junior high and high school Wrestling teams. 

The underlying goals include: safety, wrestling fundamentals, mental toughness, discipline, competition (as appropriate), all-around athleticism, and the fun inherent in this special sport. Wrestlers and their families are encouraged to set and work toward reasonable goals. 

These goals may include: learning the sport, developing better coordination and conditioning, earning a spot on the Dual Team, having perfect attendance at practices, becoming more disciplined, overcoming fear of failure, developing teamwork or leadership skills, learning new techniques, making new friends, competing in tournaments, winning matches, and of course, having fun!
